FAQs

Can these be used with battery-operated tea lights?

Yes, battery-operated LED tea lights are a safe and effective alternative to real wax candles.

Are these dishwasher safe?

While the glass is durable, hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish and prevent the risk of glass-to-glass contact during the wash cycle.

What is the maximum size of the tea light that fits?

The lanterns are designed for standard tea lights. Larger pillar candles may not fit due to the 8.5 cm width and potential heat buildup near the glass walls.

Does the set include the handles?

Yes, each of the 12 lanterns comes equipped with a handle for easy transport or hanging.

Are they suitable for outdoor weddings?

They are perfect for outdoor weddings, provided the weather is calm, as they add a classic, elegant look to outdoor decor.

Troubleshooting

Candle flame is flickering too much

The open-top cylinder offers little wind protection; move to a more sheltered area or use a deeper glass insert if necessary.

Glass has become cloudy

Wipe the interior and exterior with a mixture of vinegar and water, then buff dry with a lint-free cloth.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Versatile design suitable for both indoor and outdoor use
  • Large set of 12 provides excellent value for event decorating
  • Easy to clean due to simple cylindrical shape
  • Transparent glass matches any color scheme or theme
  • Lightweight yet stable for table placement

Cons

  • Glass material is fragile and requires careful handling
  • Does not include candles or decorative fillers
  • No wind protection for flames if used in strong outdoor breezes

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up these lanterns, simply insert a standard-sized tea light into the center of the cylinder. If hanging the lanterns, use the integrated handles to secure them to sturdy branches or decorative stands.

Care Instructions:

  • Cleaning: Hand wash with warm soapy water to prevent water spotting. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that may scratch the glass surface.
  • Storage: Store in a cushioned box or wrap individually in bubble wrap to prevent breakage between events.
  • Safety: Always place candles on a heat-resistant surface and never leave a burning candle unattended. Ensure the handle is cool before attempting to move the lantern while in use.
