Veloxa by Boehringer Ingelheim is designed for dog owners seeking a reliable, broad-spectrum solution to manage common internal parasites. It provides a convenient, beef-flavored chewable option for treating tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms without requiring concealment in food. While it is highly effective at eliminating these four major worm species, owners should note that it does not cover heartworm prevention, necessitating a separate regimen if that protection is required for your pet.

Veloxa is effective against tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.
Yes, but always consult your veterinarian to ensure the combination is appropriate for your dog's specific health plan.
Consult your veterinarian for the appropriate age and weight to start deworming treatments for your specific puppy.
Frequency depends on the dog's lifestyle and local parasite prevalence. Most vets recommend a schedule, often every 3 to 6 months for adult dogs.
Policies vary by region. Always check with your local veterinary clinic regarding purchase requirements in your area.
No, Veloxa is not a heartworm preventative. You will need a separate, veterinarian-prescribed medication for heartworm protection.
Although flavored, some dogs may be picky. You can break the tablet into smaller pieces or mix it into a small amount of wet food or a high-value treat.
Consult your veterinarian for a follow-up test; it is common to see dead worms in the stool post-treatment, but a persistent infestation may require a different dosing strategy or follow-up dose.
To ensure efficacy, weigh your dog accurately before selecting the dose; under-dosing may fail to clear the parasites, while over-dosing should be avoided. Store the tablets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the medication. Ensure the product is kept out of reach of children and other pets. Always check with your veterinarian to establish a recurring deworming schedule based on your dog's specific lifestyle, age, and exposure risks.
