Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These pots are ready for immediate use. Ensure they are clean before planting. For optimal drainage, consider placing a small layer of gravel or sand at the bottom, though the porous nature of the terracotta often makes this unnecessary.
Compatibility: Ideal for small plants such as succulents, cacti, small herbs, and flower seedlings. They are compatible with standard potting mixes. Can be used with or without drainage saucers, depending on your setup and watering frequency.
Care: Gently clean with water and a soft brush if needed. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, as they can be absorbed by the terracotta. If mold or algae appears, a diluted vinegar solution can be used sparingly, followed by thorough rinsing. To prevent staining, you can seal the outside of the pot with a clear, non-toxic sealant if desired, though this will reduce breathability.
