Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
These stair treads are designed for direct installation. You will need appropriate wood adhesives, screws, or mounting brackets suitable for solid wood and your existing stair structure. Ensure the surface where the tread will be applied is clean, dry, and level. For use as a window sill or shelf, standard mounting hardware for shelves or sills will be required.
Compatibility:
These treads are compatible with most standard staircase constructions. As they are solid wood, they can be drilled, cut, or sanded if minor adjustments are needed. They are designed to integrate with various interior design styles. Note that the delivery includes two treads only; associated stair components (frames, risers) are not provided.
Care:
To maintain the appearance and longevity of the oak wood:
- Cleaning: Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture.
- Protection: For heavily used areas or potential spills, consider applying a suitable wood sealant or varnish designed for oak furniture after installation.
- Environment: Avoid placing in areas with extreme humidity fluctuations, which can affect solid wood over time.
