Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before application, ensure the surface is as clean and dry as possible to maximize adhesion and moisture displacement. While WaxOyl can be applied over existing sound rust, loose scale and dirt should be removed with a wire brush.
For application, a pressure-fed sprayer or a specialized wax injection probe is recommended for cavities to ensure total coverage. For general underbody use, a brush or low-pressure sprayer suffices.
- Compatibility: Safe for use on most metal surfaces; however, avoid contact with rubber bushings, as long-term exposure to some wax formulations can soften certain types of synthetic rubber.
- Storage: Store the container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the lid is sealed tightly to prevent solvent evaporation.
- Cleanup: Excess material can be removed using white spirit or a dedicated wax remover.
