Product Information
Full details
This guide is for content creators, adventurers, and anyone looking to expand their filming capabilities with a GoPro camera. The key benefit is achieving expansive, drone-like aerial perspectives and unique "invisible pole" shots for 360 footage, all from a lightweight and durable carbon fiber build. A caveat is the extended length may require practice for stable shots. The GoPro 9ft (2.7m) Carbon Fibre Extension Pole offers impressive reach and versatility for capturing dynamic footage from new angles.

FAQs
What is the maximum length of the extension pole?
The pole extends up to 9 feet (2.7 meters).
What is the minimum length of the extension pole?
The pole collapses down to 15.5 inches (39 centimeters).
Is this pole suitable for underwater use?
The product description states it is waterproof, suggesting it can handle wet conditions. However, submersion details beyond splash resistance are not specified. It is best suited for use near water or in light rain.
Can I use this with cameras other than GoPro?
The pole includes a 1/4-20 mount, which is a standard camera thread size, making it compatible with many other cameras besides GoPro. However, optimal performance and the "invisible pole" effect are typically achieved with GoPro's own 360 cameras.
How does the friction lock work?
The friction lock allows you to extend and collapse the pole sections by simply pulling or pushing them. It holds the sections firmly in place at your desired length without requiring you to twist or screw them.
What comes included with the extension pole?
The package includes the 9ft (2.7m) Carbon Fiber Extension Pole, a Mounting Finger Adapter, a Thumb Screw, and a Wrist Lanyard.
Troubleshooting
Pole sections are difficult to extend or collapse.
Ensure the pole is clean and free of sand or debris. Gently twist and pull sections. If resistance persists, check for any internal obstructions.
Pole feels unstable when fully extended.
Maintain a firm grip and use steady movements. For the steadiest shots, consider not extending the pole to its absolute maximum length. Practice smooth panning and tilting.
Camera mount feels loose.
Ensure the thumb screw is tightened properly. For 360 cameras, confirm the 1/4-20 thread is securely engaged.
Wrist lanyard broke.
Contact GoPro support for a replacement. Avoid excessive force on the lanyard during use.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Attach your GoPro camera to the included mounting finger adapter using the thumb screw, or directly to the 1/4-20 mount if using a compatible 360 camera.
- Secure the camera assembly to the top of the extension pole.
- Extend the pole to your desired length by carefully pulling the sections apart. The friction lock will hold it in place.

Care:
- After use, especially in saltwater or dusty environments, rinse the pole with fresh water.
