The HDD-based RDX data cartridges are ideal for backup, restore, and long-term archiving. With capacities ranging from 500GB to 5TB, these cartridges fit perfectly in any environment. RDX Technology offers a disk-based removable media storage system that provides the performance of disk, such as fast random access and high transfer rates, combined with the removability, portability, and long archival life of tape. It includes both a RDX drive and RDX media, ensuring full forward and backward compatibility. RDX is a widely adopted backup standard in the SMB sector, with over 2.5 million RDX media units shipped globally, holding more than 1.2 ExaBytes of data. As the technology owner, Tandberg Data partners with major OEMs who integrate RDX technology into their product lines. The media features a rugged, reliable, and removable design for easy handling and utilizes business-grade disk drive selection for media qualification, ensuring it never becomes obsolete due to its full forward and backward compatibility. It's an affordable solution for SOHOs and smaller SMBs. For backup and recovery, it's recommended to choose RDX media with at least double the capacity of the data being backed up, especially when using incremental backups or deduplication. RDX is supported by all major backup software vendors. With a 10-year archival life and unlimited compatibility across drive and media generations, RDX is ideal for long-term archiving of critical business data, financial files, customer records, as well as personal media like videos, photos, and music. The rugged cartridge design also facilitates easy and secure distribution of business data between offices via mail or courier services, making it a universal storage device suitable for almost any application.
