The Bond It Damp Proof Course (DPC) membrane is an essential tool for professional builders and masonry contractors looking to effectively block moisture ingress in vertical and horizontal structural applications. Offering superior water resistance through a robust, chemically stable polythene construction, this BBA-certified membrane ensures long-term protection for brick and block work. While it provides excellent moisture defense, installers should note that it requires proper integration with mortar to maximize the effectiveness of its embossed surface for superior adhesion.

Yes, it is designed for exterior masonry applications to prevent moisture ingress in both vertical and horizontal settings.
Yes, the product is BBA certified and conforms to both EN14909 and BS6515 standards.
The membrane can be cut to fit specific requirements, though it is ideal to select the width closest to your brickwork dimensions to minimize waste.
The embossing provides a mechanical key that grips the mortar, preventing the DPC from sliding or shifting once the wall is built.
Yes, it is manufactured in the UK using recycled and reprocessed materials.
Ensure the mortar bed is correctly leveled and apply firm pressure to the masonry unit to lock the embossed surface into the wet mortar.
Store rolls in a warmer environment prior to use as polythene becomes more pliable and easier to handle at room temperature.
To ensure maximum performance, the DPC should be installed on a smooth, flat surface of mortar. Ensure the membrane overlaps at junctions by a minimum of 100mm to maintain a continuous barrier. It is compatible with all standard Portland cement mortars. Regarding care, the material is inherently resistant to rot and chemicals found in soil and building materials; therefore, no special maintenance is required once installed and properly covered by subsequent masonry courses. Always store the rolls in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the polythene prior to use.
