Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Identify suitable anchor points on your vehicle or trailer and on the load.
- Attach the claw hooks of one end of the strap to the anchor points.
- Thread the free end of the webbing through the ratchet mechanism.
- Operate the ratchet handle repeatedly to tighten the webbing until the desired tension is achieved. Ensure the webbing lies flat and is not twisted.
- To release, lift the pawl on the ratchet mechanism and slowly lower the handle.
Compatibility:
These straps are designed to work with standard anchor points that can accommodate claw hooks. Ensure anchor points are structurally sound and rated for the load being secured.
Care:
- Inspect straps for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage before each use.
- Clean the webbing with mild soap and water; avoid harsh chemicals or solvents.
- Store straps in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prolong their lifespan.
- Avoid using straps if the webbing is cut, frayed, or chemically damaged.
- Protect webbing from sharp edges using edge protectors if necessary.
