Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting started with your Sekonda Monica watch is straightforward, and proper care will ensure its longevity and appearance.
Initial Setup
- Remove from Packaging: Carefully unbox your watch and remove any protective films.
- Set the Time: Locate the crown on the side of the watch case. Gently pull it out. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the current time. Once set, push the crown back in firmly.
- Bracelet Adjustment: For an optimal fit, the silver tone bracelet may need adjustment. It is highly recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler or watch repair service. They have the right tools to remove or add links safely without damaging the bracelet.
Compatibility
- This watch features a 23mm case, making it a suitable size for a variety of wrist sizes, typically fitting smaller to medium wrists comfortably.
- Its silver tone and classic design ensure it complements a wide range of jewelry and fashion styles.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: To maintain its luster, gently wipe the watch case and bracelet with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, which can damage the finish.
- Water Exposure: This watch is designed for everyday wear but is not waterproof. Avoid exposing it to water, including showering, swimming, or heavy rain, as water can damage the internal quartz movement.
- Storage: When not wearing your watch, store it in a clean, dry place, ideally in its original box or a soft pouch, to protect it from dust and scratches.
- Battery Replacement: The quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch stops or begins to lose time, it's an indication that the battery needs replacement. This should be performed by a qualified watch technician to avoid damaging the internal components or compromising any seals.
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the watch to extreme heat or cold, as this can affect battery life and the accuracy of the movement.
- Impact Protection: While durable, watches are delicate instruments. Avoid dropping your watch or subjecting it to strong impacts, which can damage the crystal, case, or movement.
