Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your jerry can, store it in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or ignition sources.
- Inspection: Before each use, check the rubber seal within the bayonet closure for any signs of cracking or hardening.
- Cleaning: If rinsing the interior, ensure the can is completely dried before refilling, as lingering moisture can eventually affect fuel quality.
- Compatibility: While designed for standard fuels, ensure your specific liquid type is compatible with metal storage containers and the internal anti-corrosive coating.
- Placement: When stored in a vehicle, always use a dedicated jerry can holder or strap the unit down to prevent sliding, as the metal base can be slippery on smooth surfaces.
