Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Fueling: Ensure the generator is on a level surface. Fill the 6.0-litre fuel tank with fresh, unleaded petrol. Check the oil level and top up if necessary with the recommended oil type (refer to the user manual).
- Initial Start-up: Follow the specific starting procedure outlined in the user manual, which typically involves setting the choke and pulling the starter cord. Allow the engine to warm up before connecting loads.
- Connecting Loads: Connect appliances to the appropriate 110V or 230V outlets. Do not exceed the generator's maximum rated output.
Compatibility:
The generator is compatible with most standard electrical appliances that fall within its 5.0kVA capacity. Always ensure that the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed the generator's continuous output rating to prevent overload. Use appropriate extension cords rated for the required amperage and voltage.
Care:
- Regular Maintenance: Follow the maintenance schedule in the user manual. This includes checking and changing the engine oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, and inspecting the spark plug.
- Cleaning: Keep the generator clean and free of dust and debris. Use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. Ensure the unit is switched off and cool before cleaning.
- Storage: If storing for extended periods (over a month), it is recommended to either run the generator dry of fuel or use a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel system issues.
