Product Information

Full details

French link bits soften the effect of a single jointed bit by eliminating the nutcracker action and palette pressure. This is achieved by a shaped flat plate which rests on the horse's tongue. This makes this bit from Lorina a good choice for horses who reject the conventional Snaffle Bit. Nevertheless, the curb chain and double rein design results in a strong bit which provides excellent control. The Lorina French Link Pelham provides pressure on the poll from the leverage action and on the chin groove from the curb chain. The French link mouthpiece relives the nutcracker action and prevents palate pressure. Ideally this bit should be used with two reins, but one rein can be used if roundings are used. Available in 4.5", 5", 5.5" or 6".
