Designed for professional screen printers and textile artists, Daler-Rowney System3 Textile Screen Printing Acrylic Inks offer superior colour strength and lightfastness for a variety of fabric applications. These highly pigmented, water-based inks are formulated for extended open times to prevent screen clogging, making them ideal for detailed design work on cotton, silk, and synthetic fibers. While they deliver exceptional durability and wash fastness, users must ensure they heat-set the ink properly to guarantee the design remains permanent after laundering.

The ink is ready to use straight from the pot, though it can be thinned with screen printing mediums if desired.
Yes, but for lighter colors on dark backgrounds, you may need multiple passes or an opaque base layer for full coverage.
You must heat-fix the ink by ironing the reverse side of the fabric once the print is fully dry.
Once heat-set correctly, the ink becomes wash-fast and resistant to water during normal laundry cycles.
System3 is specifically formulated for textiles, though it may work on some absorbent papers, it is not recommended as its primary use.
Drying time depends on temperature and humidity, but it typically touch-dries within a few hours.
Ensure your printing environment is not too hot and consider using a retarder medium to further extend the open time.
The heat-fixing process was likely insufficient; re-apply heat using an iron or heat press for a longer duration.
Ensure your screen tension is tight and that you are using the correct mesh count for the fabric thickness.
Before you begin, ensure your textile surface is clean, dry, and free of lint. For optimal adhesion, pre-wash fabrics to remove sizing agents. After printing, you must heat-fix the ink for permanent results. Iron the reverse side of the garment at a temperature appropriate for the fabric type for several minutes, or use a heat press. To clean your equipment, simply wash your screens, squeegees, and spatulas with warm water and mild soap immediately after use to prevent the ink from drying in the mesh. Store pots tightly sealed in a cool, dry place to maintain shelf life.
