This A4 Artists Sketch Pad from Tallon is designed for art enthusiasts seeking a reliable surface for their sketches and drawings. Its key benefit is the premium quality, heavy-grade 90gsm paper, which minimizes ink bleed-through, allowing for uninhibited creativity. A potential caveat is that the cover design (dolphin or parrot) is sent at random unless a specific request can be accommodated.

The sketch pad uses premium quality, heavy grade 90gsm sketch paper.
The A4 Artists Sketch Pad includes 40 sheets of paper.
This paper is ideal for dry media. While it handles pens and light washes of markers or paints with minimal bleed-through due to its 90gsm weight, heavy saturation with very wet inks or paints may cause bleed-through and paper warping.
The cover design (dolphin or parrot) is sent at random. You can try to request a specific design at checkout via the 'Add Instructions For Seller' button, or by using the 'Get in Touch' tab or 'Chat With Us' button, or by calling 01436 670806. Availability depends on stock.
The sketch pad is A4 size.
The product description does not specify archival quality. It is described as premium quality, suitable for sketching and drawing with reduced bleed-through.
This can happen with the application of any liquid media. Allow the paper to dry completely flat. For future use with wet media, consider taping down the edges of the page or using a heavier watercolor paper.
Ensure you are using appropriate ink types for sketch paper. Very wet or alcohol-based markers may still bleed. Try using finer tip pens or consider using only one side of the paper for these specific media.
Cover designs are shipped randomly. If you have a preference, contact customer service immediately after placing your order via the 'Get in Touch' tab, 'Chat With Us' button, or by calling 01436 670806 to see if your preference can be accommodated based on stock availability.
Setup: This product requires no setup. Simply open it to begin drawing.
Compatibility: Compatible with a wide range of dry art supplies including pencils, charcoal, pastels, crayons, and colored pencils. It is also suitable for ink pens and markers, though heavy saturation should be avoided to prevent bleed-through. It can accommodate light washes of watercolor or gouache.
Care: Store the sketch pad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain paper quality. Keep the cover closed when not in use to protect the pages from dust and damage. Avoid exposing the pad to extreme temperatures.
