Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before the first use, it is recommended to lightly oil and heat the Dutch oven to ensure the seasoning is intact. Always heat the pan gradually to avoid thermal shock, which can crack or warp cast iron. After cooking, allow the piece to cool down completely before washing.
Clean the oven using warm water and a stiff brush; avoid using harsh detergents or steel wool, as these will strip away the seasoning. After cleaning, dry the piece thoroughly immediately, ideally by heating it on the stove for a minute to evaporate remaining moisture, then apply a very thin layer of vegetable oil before storing. This pot is compatible with most stovetops, ovens, and open fire setups, making it a highly adaptable addition to any kitchen or camping gear kit.
