FAQs
Is the Apollo Gravy Boat dishwasher safe?
While the material is robust, hand washing is highly recommended to prevent chipping or dulling of the white finish over time.
Can I use this for liquids other than gravy?
Yes, this vessel is excellent for serving salad dressings, custard, hot chocolate, or other pourable sauces.
Does the saucer detach?
Yes, the saucer is a separate piece, which makes cleaning much easier than with an integrated design.
What is the exact capacity of the boat?
The boat has a capacity of 550ml, making it ideal for standard serving sizes.
Will the handle get hot?
Depending on the temperature of the contents, the ceramic handle may warm up, so exercise caution when handling with very hot liquids.
Troubleshooting
Stubborn gravy stains inside the boat
Soak the interior with warm soapy water for 15 minutes before gently scrubbing with a non-abrasive sponge.
Spills onto the saucer
Wipe the saucer immediately with a damp cloth to prevent the sauce from drying and potentially staining the finish.
Pros and Cons

- White surface shows stains if not cleaned promptly after use
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep your Apollo Gravy Boat in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Pre-warming: To keep your sauce warmer for longer, rinse the boat with hot water before adding the gravy.
- Cleaning: Hand washing is recommended to preserve the integrity of the white finish, though it should be washed with a soft cloth to prevent abrasive scratches.
- Storage: Avoid stacking other heavy dishware on top of the boat to prevent structural damage.
- Compatibility: The neutral white color makes this item highly compatible with various dinnerware collections, ranging from formal porcelain to contemporary stoneware.
