To prepare the balloon, locate the inflation valve at the base. If using helium, attach the nozzle to the valve and fill until the balloon is firm but not overly tight. If using air, use a hand pump to inflate slowly, ensuring you do not stretch the seams. Avoid extreme temperature changes, as heat can cause helium to expand and potentially rupture the foil. Keep the balloon away from sharp objects to prevent punctures. To deflate for storage, you can gently insert a straw into the valve to release the gas slowly, though reuse of foil balloons is often limited.
