FAQs
How do I measure for wallpaper?
Measure the height and width of the walls you plan to cover, adding extra for pattern repeats and waste. Consult the wallpaper instructions for specific recommendations.
What tools do I need to install wallpaper?
You'll need a measuring tape, level, wallpaper smoother, utility knife, a pasting brush or roller (depending on the type of wallpaper), and a seam roller.
How do I clean my Muriva wallpaper?
Gently wipe the wallpaper with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive water.
Can I apply Muriva wallpaper over existing wallpaper?
It is generally recommended to remove existing wallpaper for best results. However, if the existing wallpaper is well-adhered and in good condition, you may be able to apply Muriva wallpaper over it, but ensure proper wall preparation.
What type of adhesive should I use?
Follow the Muriva wallpaper instructions for recommended adhesives. Typically, pre-pasted or paste-the-wall options are available.
What if the pattern doesn't line up perfectly?
Pattern matching can be tricky. Carefully align the patterns at the seams. If the pattern doesn't match perfectly, slight variations can often be minimized by careful trimming.
Troubleshooting
Air bubbles appear after application.
Use a wallpaper smoother to remove air bubbles. If bubbles persist, gently pierce them with a pin and smooth the area.
Wallpaper seams are visible.
Ensure the edges of the wallpaper are aligned correctly. Use a seam roller to flatten the seams and eliminate gaps.
Wallpaper is not sticking to the wall.
Check the adhesive. Ensure it is compatible with the wallpaper type and apply it evenly. Clean the wall to remove any residue.
