Weld-On 725 Wet R Dry Solvent Cement is designed for professional plumbers, irrigation specialists, and DIY enthusiasts who need to complete PVC pipe repairs in damp or wet environments. Its primary benefit is a rapid-setting formula that allows for immediate pressurization of joints, significantly reducing downtime. However, users should note that due to its extremely fast curing time, precise alignment is required during assembly as adjustments cannot be made once the parts are joined.

No, this specific product is designed for interference fits up to 6 inches in diameter. Using it on larger pipes may result in weak joints.
While it can be used on non-pressure systems without primer where local codes allow, it is always best practice to consult your local building department or manufacturer specifications for pressure-rated installations.
The cement is designed to withstand pressure within minutes of assembly, but specific cure times may vary based on temperature and humidity levels.
Always check the product label for NSF listing or local plumbing code compliance if the pipes will carry drinking water.
No, this product is formulated specifically for PVC solvent welding. Using it on incompatible plastics will result in joint failure.
This indicates solvent evaporation. It is recommended to discard and replace the product as thinning with other solvents can compromise bond integrity.
Ensure the pipe was dry enough for a proper bond and that the cement was applied to both surfaces. If pressure was applied too soon, the joint may need to be cut out and redone.
Before starting, ensure the pipe ends are clean and cut square. While this cement performs in damp conditions, excess standing water should be wiped away for the best bond. Apply the cement evenly to both the exterior of the pipe and the interior of the fitting using the included applicator. Quickly slide the parts together with a quarter-turn to ensure proper distribution of the solvent. Once bonded, the joint sets rapidly, so ensure alignment is correct on the first attempt. Always store the container tightly sealed in a cool, dry place to prevent the solvent from evaporating and the cement from thickening.
