Product Information
Full details
Osteospermum Hardy Tresco Purple features bold, daisy-like flowers that open in the morning sun. This versatile and resilient variety thrives in hot and dry conditions, providing vibrant pink blooms and effective weed suppression with its spreading habit. As an easy-to-grow African Daisy, it adds striking summer color to garden borders. Plants reach a height of 40cm (16”) and spread up to 90cm (36”). The bright flowers can be used as a garnish or in ice cubes for a decorative touch in summer drinks. For best results, pot up the hardy osteospermum daisies and grow them in frost-free conditions until well-established. Gradually acclimatize them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days once the risk of frost has passed, then plant them outdoors in borders and patio containers. Osteospermum plants prefer well-drained soil in a warm, sheltered spot with full sun, and dislike cold, wet soils. Improve heavy soil by adding coarse grit before planting. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season and deadhead faded blooms to encourage continuous flowering. Supplied as 3x Osteospermum Hardy Tresco Purple Jumbo Plug Plants.
