Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the furthest position and rotate to set the correct time. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
- Setting the Day and Date: Consult the watch manual for the specific procedure, as it often involves pulling the crown to a middle position. Ensure you set the date correctly, avoiding changes during the hours when the watch is set to change it automatically (typically 9 PM to 3 AM) to prevent damage to the mechanism.
- Setting the Moon Phase: This feature usually requires a separate adjustment via a specific pusher or crown position. Refer to your watch's manual for precise instructions.
Compatibility:
This is a standalone analog watch and does not interact with other electronic devices. Its compatibility is purely in terms of style and wearability with different outfits and occasions.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For tougher grime, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: While built for everyday use, avoid submerging the watch in water. It is generally resistant to accidental splashes but not designed for swimming or showering.
- Strap Maintenance: If the stainless steel bracelet becomes dirty, it can be cleaned gently with a soft brush and mild soap, ensuring it is thoroughly dried afterward.
- Battery: The quartz movement requires a battery. When it eventually stops, take it to a qualified watchmaker for replacement to ensure the seals are maintained.
