Yes, the KFC-1653MRW speakers are designed with waterproof components and UV-resistant grilles to withstand marine conditions, including saltwater spray.
The recommended mounting hole diameter is 130mm.
The mounting depth required for these speakers is 61.5mm.
The product description does not specify the inclusion of speaker wire. Separate speaker wire may be required depending on your installation.
While they can be connected, it is recommended to use a marine-rated amplifier to ensure compatibility and protection against the elements.
These speakers have a 4-ohm impedance.
They can handle up to 150W of peak power.
Check all wiring connections for tightness and correct polarity. Ensure the amplifier is powered on and set to the correct input source. Verify the amplifier's output channels are configured correctly.
Reduce the volume to prevent clipping, which can damage the speakers and amplifier. Ensure the amplifier is providing sufficient clean power and is not overdriven. Check speaker wire gauge for adequacy.
Inspect speaker wire for any damage or fraying. Check terminal connections on both the speaker and the amplifier for looseness or corrosion. Clean terminals if necessary.
Setup:
Installation involves a flush mount design. Ensure you have a mounting surface with a diameter of 130mm. The required mounting depth is 61.5mm. Use the provided 12 screws and 12 clip nuts for secure attachment. Connect speaker wires adhering to proper polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative).
Compatibility:
These speakers have a 4-ohm impedance, making them compatible with most standard marine amplifiers. Always ensure your amplifier is rated to handle the speaker's power requirements to prevent damage.
Care:
To maintain optimal performance and longevity, regularly clean the speaker grilles with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or high-pressure water directly on the speakers. Periodically check connections to ensure they remain secure and free from corrosion.
