Setup
- Preparation: Identify the location on the roof where the cables will pass through. Ensure the area is clean and clear of debris.
- Hole Creation: Cut a hole in the roof, sized appropriately for the flashing and cables.
- Cable Insertion: Feed the solar cables through the flashing.
- Placement: Position the flashing over the hole, ensuring it sits correctly on the roof tiles/slates.
- Sealing: Secure the flashing according to the manufacturer's instructions. Use appropriate sealant if necessary.
Compatibility
The Deks Dektite Multicable Solar Flashing is compatible with tile and slate roofs. It is designed to accommodate various cable sizes, up to a maximum of 10 cables. Check the specific cable diameters to ensure compatibility.
Care
The flashing requires minimal maintenance. Inspect the flashing periodically for any signs of damage or wear. Clean the flashing if necessary, using a mild detergent and water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the material.
