Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal performance, start by clearing the area of sharp rocks or large roots that could puncture the fabric. Unroll the membrane across the prepared sub-base, ensuring at least a 10cm to 20cm overlap at the seams to maintain a continuous barrier. Secure the fabric with ground pegs if working on a slope or windy conditions.
Once laid, cover the membrane with your chosen aggregate or surfacing material as soon as possible to prevent wind movement and protect the material from direct, long-term UV exposure, which can degrade synthetic fabrics over many years. When cutting, use a sharp blade to ensure clean edges, and avoid overstretching the fabric during installation to maintain its structural integrity.
