Regatta Malana Softshell Full Zip Fleece - Pink - Size: 12

This jacket is ideal for mild to cool conditions, perfect for active use like hiking or walking. It offers wind resistance and comfort but is not waterproof and may require an additional layer for very cold weather.

The underarm gussets are panels of fabric sewn into the armpit area that allow for a greater range of motion. This means you can lift your arms freely without the jacket pulling or restricting your movement, which is crucial during activities like climbing or reaching.

No, the Regatta Malana jacket is a softshell, which means it offers good wind resistance and some level of water repellency, but it is not fully waterproof. For heavy rain, a waterproof outer shell would be necessary.

While you can layer over a thin fleece, this jacket is designed with a plush terry backing for comfort and a snug fit for performance. Wearing it over a very thick mid-layer might restrict movement and alter the intended fit.

Follow the care label instructions: machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle, do not bleach, tumble dry on low heat, and iron on a low setting. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can impact the fabric's performance.

'Reach Technology' refers to the design feature of the underarm gusset, which provides an enhanced range of movement and unrestricted arm lift.

Ensure you have selected the correct size. Check that the underarm gussets are not obstructed. This jacket is designed for active stretch, so some snugness is normal, but it should not impede movement.

Gently work the zipper back and forth. You can apply a small amount of graphite (from a pencil lead) or a specialized zipper lubricant to the teeth. Avoid forcing the zipper.

Ensure you are using a low heat setting for tumble drying and ironing. Using fabric conditioner is generally not recommended for performance fabrics as it can degrade their properties. Follow the care instructions precisely.
