Product Information

Full details

This Leopard Print Coir Doormat by Premier Housewares is designed for homeowners seeking to add a touch of style and practical functionality to their entryway. Its key benefit lies in its durable coir construction, which effectively scrapes dirt and debris while the PVC backing ensures it stays in place. A potential caveat is that the natural coir may shed slightly in the initial period of use. This doormat features a striking leopard print, is made from resilient coir fibers, and includes a non-slip PVC backing for stability.

FAQs

What is coir made from?

Coir is a natural fiber extracted from the husk of coconuts. It is known for its strength, durability, and natural resistance to water.

How do I clean the doormat?

You can shake out loose debris, vacuum it, or spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow it to air dry completely.

Is the PVC backing safe for all floor types?

The PVC backing is designed to provide a firm grip on smooth flooring like tile, wood, or laminate. It is not intended for use on carpet.

Will the leopard print fade?

The print is designed for durability, but prolonged direct sunlight can eventually cause fading in any printed material. For best results, avoid placing the mat in constant direct, harsh sunlight if possible.

What are the dimensions of the doormat?

The doormat measures approximately H2cm x D40cm x W60cm.

Is the doormat suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, the coir material is water-resistant and durable, making it suitable for outdoor or semi-outdoor covered entryways. Avoid leaving it submerged in water.

Troubleshooting

Mat slides on the floor.

Ensure the floor surface is clean and dry. The PVC backing is designed for smooth, hard surfaces; it may not grip effectively on carpet or very uneven flooring. If the mat is dirty, clean the underside of the PVC backing.

Excessive fiber shedding.

Initial shedding of coir fibers is normal. Shake the mat vigorously outdoors for the first few uses. If shedding persists excessively after several weeks, contact customer support.

Mat does not seem to clean shoes effectively.

Ensure the mat is placed correctly at the entrance and that users are wiping their feet on it. Coarse dirt may require a second wipe or manual cleaning of the mat's surface if heavily soiled.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Enhances entryway aesthetics with a stylish leopard print.
Effectively cleans footwear, reducing indoor dirt.
Durable and water-resistant for all-weather use.
Non-slip backing provides safety and stability.
Easy to clean and maintain.

Cons

May shed natural coir fibers initially.
The brown color family might not suit all exterior decors.
Low profile could be a slight obstruction for very low-clearance doors if not placed carefully.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Place the doormat on a clean, dry, and flat surface at your desired entryway. Ensure the PVC backing is in direct contact with the flooring for optimal grip.

Compatibility:

This doormat is compatible with most standard door types and entryways. The PVC backing is designed to grip well on smooth flooring such as tile, laminate, wood, and vinyl. It is not recommended for use on carpeted surfaces or rough outdoor terrain where the backing may not adhere effectively.

Care:

To maintain your Leopard Print Coir Doormat:

Shake Out Debris: Regularly shake the mat outdoors to remove loose dirt, dust, and debris.
Vacuum: For a more thorough cleaning, vacuum the mat using a standard vacuum cleaner attachment.
Spot Clean: For stubborn dirt or stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid excessive soaking.
Drying: Allow the mat to air dry completely before placing it back in its position.
Shedding: Natural coir mats may shed fibers during the first few uses. This is normal and will decrease over time. Simply shake or vacuum away any loose fibers.
