Troubleshooting
Rear derailleur not shifting smoothly
Check derailleur hanger alignment and ensure the shift cable is properly tensioned and free of kinks. Lubricate the cable and housing if necessary.
Brakes feel weak or spongy
Check brake pad wear and rotor condition. If hydraulic, the system may need bleeding to remove air bubbles. Consult a mechanic if unsure.
Suspension feels stiff or unresponsive
Ensure suspension is set to the correct pressure for rider weight. Clean suspension stanchions and seals. If the issue persists, suspension service may be required.
Excessive noise or creaking from the frame
Inspect all bolts and pivot points for tightness. Clean and re-grease necessary components like the bottom bracket and headset.
