Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Place the base block onto the bed of your hydraulic press.
- Position the component requiring pressing onto the block, ensuring it is centered.
- Adjust the steel threaded columns to support the component evenly, applying light pressure to seat it.
- If needed, use the adjustable spacer block to provide additional contact points for uneven surfaces.
- Secure the block and component using the integrated safety retaining screws if applicable to your press setup.
Compatibility:
This support block is designed for use with standard hydraulic workshop presses. Its dimensions (285mm L x 200mm W x 50mm D) and 50-tonne rating make it compatible with most heavy-duty presses. It is particularly useful for tasks involving vehicle hubs, bearing races, and suspension components.
Care:
- After use, clean the block with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove debris and grease.
- Inspect the threaded columns and spacer block for any signs of damage or excessive wear before each use.
- Store the support block in a dry environment to prevent corrosion, although the aluminium construction is highly resistant.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the aluminium surface.
