Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Simply plug the USB Type-C connectors into the corresponding ports on your devices. Ensure a firm connection.
Compatibility:
- Host Devices: Requires a USB Type-C port that supports USB 3.1 Gen 2.
- Peripheral Devices: Requires a USB Type-C port that supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 for full speed. Can also connect to USB 3.0/2.0 ports, but speeds will be limited to those standards.
- Power Delivery: To achieve 60W charging, both the cable and the connected devices (charger and device being charged) must support USB Power Delivery (USB PD) up to 60W.
- DisplayPort Alternate Mode: For video output, the source device's USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode, and the display device must have a compatible input.
Care:
- Avoid bending the cable sharply or excessively.
- Keep connectors clean; use compressed air or a dry, lint-free cloth if dust accumulates.
- Store the cable in a dry environment away from extreme temperatures.
