Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the pergola involves securing the primary beam to the wall using heavy-duty hardware appropriate for your home's exterior cladding (e.g., brick, stone, or timber). It is recommended to perform this installation on a level, paved, or decked surface to ensure the vertical posts remain plumb.
For long-term care:
- Inspect mounting bolts annually to ensure no movement has occurred due to thermal expansion.
- Periodically check the finish; if the rustic brown appearance fades, apply a compatible outdoor wood stain to maintain both the color and the moisture-resistant properties of the timber.
- Keep the area around the base of the posts clear of standing water to prevent rot.
