The Oxford Motorcycle Bobbins are essential accessories for riders who perform their own maintenance, designed to provide a secure and stable lifting point for rear paddock stands. These bobbins are ideal for those looking to lift their motorcycle without risking scratches or dents to the swingarm finish, offering a robust alloy construction that stands up to frequent use. While they provide excellent protection and stability, users must ensure they select the correct thread size and pitch for their specific motorcycle model to guarantee a proper fit.

Consult your motorcycle manufacturer's manual or check your existing swingarm mounting hole thread size and pitch.
Yes, they are designed to remain on the motorcycle as a permanent mounting point for your paddock stand.
Most models require a standard hex key (Allen wrench) that fits the central bolt of the bobbin.
They are not strictly universal; they are model-specific based on the thread size and pitch of your motorcycle's swingarm.
While they provide some standoff distance, these are primarily designed for lifting; they are not intended to act as frame sliders or crash protectors.
Check if the thread size and pitch match your motorcycle's specifications exactly and ensure the bolt is fully seated.
Verify that your paddock stand is designed for use with bobbins and ensure the stand arms are adjusted to the correct width for your bike.
Installing the Oxford Motorcycle Bobbins is a straightforward process, but accuracy is paramount. First, consult your motorcycle owner's manual to determine the correct bolt thread and pitch required for your swingarm mounting points (e.g., M6, M8, or M10). Using a hex key, thread the bobbins into the swingarm until they are flush and secure; avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the threads. Periodically check that the bobbins remain tight, as vibration from the engine can cause them to loosen over time. To maintain the finish and structural integrity, keep the bobbins clean of road grime and debris using a standard motorcycle degreaser and a microfiber cloth during your routine bike wash.
