FAQs

Does this fixture come with light bulbs?

No, the Leonie 5-Light requires 5x G9 lightbulbs, which must be purchased separately.

Can I use this in a bathroom?

This light is designed for general indoor use. Please consult a qualified electrician regarding IP rating requirements if you intend to install it in a bathroom zone.

Is this fixture dimmable?

Dimmability depends on the G9 bulbs you purchase and your existing wall dimmer switch. Use dimmable LED G9 bulbs to enable this functionality.

What is the total diameter of the light?

The fixture has a diameter of 45 cm.

How do I clean the glass shades?

You can carefully remove the glass shades and wash them with warm soapy water, then dry them completely before reattaching.

Is this fixture suitable for high ceilings?

While it is specifically optimized for low ceilings, it can be installed on high ceilings as an ambient light source, though it may appear smaller in a very large, high-ceilinged room.

Troubleshooting

Lights are flickering after installation.

Ensure all five G9 bulbs are seated firmly in their sockets and that the house circuit connection is secure.

Glass shades appear misaligned.

Check that each glass shade is fully seated on the mounting flange and the retaining screws are tightened evenly.

Light is not as bright as expected.

Verify the wattage and lumen output of the G9 bulbs used; ensure they are clean and free of installation oils.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Elegant polished chrome finish matches diverse interior palettes
  • Space-saving semi-flush mount is perfect for lower ceilings
  • Five-light configuration provides excellent room illumination
  • Clear glass shades allow for maximum light diffusion

Cons

  • Requires five separate G9 bulbs
  • Clear glass shades may show fingerprints or dust more easily than frosted glass
  • Assembly requires careful handling of five individual glass components

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician to ensure safety and compliance with building regulations.

  1. Ensure the power is isolated at the mains before beginning.
  2. Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling joist.
  3. Connect the wiring according to standard safety protocols.
  4. Attach the base of the fixture to the mounting bracket.
  5. Carefully install each of the five G9 bulbs.
  6. Secure the glass shades onto the fixture housing.

To maintain the appearance of the chrome finish, wipe occasionally with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the polished surface. For the glass shades, use a non-abrasive glass cleaner to maintain clarity and prevent smudging.
