Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before beginning your project, pre-wash the fabric according to the manufacturer's care instructions to account for any initial shrinkage. Because the fabric has a distinct sheen, always mark your pattern pieces on the wrong side of the fabric to maintain consistency in the grain line. When pressing, use a cool-to-medium iron setting and a pressing cloth to protect the delicate sheen from becoming scorched or flattened. For seam finishes, a French seam or a serged edge is highly recommended due to the potential for the edges to fray given the density of the weave.
