Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires standard carpentry tools, including a fine-toothed saw or circular saw with a plastic-cutting blade. Always ensure that the purlins (roof supports) are spaced according to local load requirements. When drilling holes for fasteners, make them slightly larger than the screw shank to allow for the natural thermal expansion and contraction of the polycarbonate; failing to do so may lead to 'creaking' sounds or panel cracking. Always use specialized roofing screws equipped with EPDM rubber washers to ensure a watertight seal. For maintenance, a simple rinse with clean water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent is sufficient. Avoid using harsh solvents or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface and diminish the clarity of the panels.
