Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installation, ensure the engine is completely cool and the fuel supply is disconnected. When swapping the old carburettor for this replacement, check that the gasket surfaces are clean and free of debris to prevent air leaks, which can lead to lean running conditions. We recommend using a fresh gasket if the original is worn or damaged. To maintain optimal performance, drain the fuel from the bowl if the generator will sit idle for more than a few weeks, as modern ethanol-blended fuels can degrade internal components. Periodically check the fuel tap linkage for smooth operation to ensure the unit does not restrict fuel flow during high-demand usage.
