The Colour Forge Imperial Purple spray primer is an essential tool for hobbyists and miniature painters who require a high-quality, professional-grade base coat for their models. This 500ml primer offers exceptional coverage and a smooth matt finish that enhances paint adhesion while protecting fine surface details, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced painters. While it provides a superior foundation for your projects, users must ensure they work in a well-ventilated space and shake the canister thoroughly to avoid clumping or uneven coats.

While the primer provides a durable finish, it is recommended to seal your finished paint job with a varnish to protect your hard work from wear and tear.
Yes, this primer is formulated to adhere effectively to plastic, resin, and metal miniature materials.
It is strongly advised to use this spray in a well-ventilated area, such as a garage or outdoors, to avoid inhaling propellant fumes.
Allow the primer to cure for at least 15 to 30 minutes, though waiting for one hour is ideal to ensure the surface is fully stable for painting.
The spray pressure will noticeably drop, or the aerosol sound will change to a hollow hiss, indicating the contents are depleted.
Remove the nozzle and soak it in a small amount of acrylic thinner or isopropyl alcohol, then clear it with compressed air.
This often occurs when spraying from too far away; bring the canister slightly closer to the model and ensure you are not spraying in extreme heat or high humidity.
The model surface may be contaminated with skin oils; wash your models in warm soapy water and allow them to air dry completely before priming.
To achieve the best results, start by ensuring your models are free of dust, oils, and mold release agents. Shake the canister vigorously for at least two minutes until the mixing ball rattles freely to ensure the pigment and propellant are properly blended. Spray at a distance of 15 to 20cm from the model in short, controlled bursts. For care, always invert the can after use and spray for two seconds to clear the nozzle of paint residue, preventing clogs. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to maintain the integrity of the formula.
