Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These plants are delivered garden-ready and can be planted directly from their tray. Gently loosen the soil where you intend to plant them. Carefully remove each plant from its tray, taking care not to disturb the roots excessively, and place it in the prepared spot. Water thoroughly after planting.
Compatibility: Violas are generally compatible with most common garden plants and are suitable for mixed borders or container plantings. They thrive in moist, well-drained soil.
Care:
- Sunlight: Plant in a location with full sun exposure for optimal flowering.
- Soil: Ensure the soil is moist and well-drained. Avoid heavy clay soils that retain too much water.
- Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry spells. Aim to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water at the base of the plant to prevent fungal issues.
- Feeding: Generally, feeding is not required if planted in good quality soil. You may opt for a balanced liquid fertilizer once during the growing season if desired.
