Oralieve Moisturising Mouth Gel is a saliva substitute for people suffering from dry mouth (xerostomia). It can also be applied under dentures to help retention for added comfort. The gel works instantly to relieve the symptoms of mouth dryness, with a long-lasting formula providing relief for 2-5 hours during the day and up to 8 hours at night. Oralieve Moisturising Mouth Gel mimics the action and feel of natural saliva, containing the Lactoperoxidase Enzyme System and Lactoferrin, which inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria. This provides essential salivary enzymes and proteins for a healthy mouth. The gel also helps maintain the mouth's pH and contains xylitol, which acts against dental cavities. Formulated for comfort, it contains no alcohol, menthol, strong flavours, or detergents and has a neutral taste, making it suitable for diabetics. It is recommended to apply the gel to the top of the denture and the gums before putting on the denture to keep the gel and the denture in place.
