This guide is for woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts who need to move their workbenches or heavy equipment easily. The POWERTEC Quick-Release Caster Plates offer a key benefit of allowing one set of casters to service multiple machines with a simple pin-release mechanism. A caveat is that casters themselves are not included with this kit.

No, casters are not included with the POWERTEC Quick-Release Workbench Caster Plates. This kit provides the plates and hardware for attaching casters to your equipment.
The kit includes 1/4”-20 flat Phillips head bolts, washers, and lock nuts for mounting the plates.
These plates are designed to work with casters that have a compatible mounting system. You will need to ensure your chosen casters can be attached to the plate.
The weight capacity is determined by the casters you attach to the plates. The plates themselves are constructed of durable 12-gauge steel.
To retract the casters, lift the equipment slightly, press the locking pin on the caster mechanism, and slide the caster out from under the equipment.
The caster plates are constructed of high-quality, powder-coated 12-gauge steel for durability and utility.
Each plate measures 2-3/4 inches by 3-3/4 inches.
Ensure you are using the correct size bolts (1/4”-20) and that all washers and lock nuts are in place and tightened properly. Check that the mounting surface is flat.
Ensure there is no debris obstructing the pin mechanism. Lightly lubricate the pin and spring mechanism if necessary. Make sure the caster is fully retracted or extended before operating the pin.
Verify that all four caster plates are securely attached to the equipment and that the casters are fully engaged. Ensure the equipment is on a level surface.
Check for any damage to the pin or the locking mechanism. Ensure the pin is fully seated in its locked position.
