EFE AEC Routemaster RML2270 Diecast Model - London Transport - 1:76 Scale

The model is produced in a 1:76 scale, which is also known as OO gauge, making it ideal for most UK-based model railway layouts.

The model features a die-cast metal body, providing durability and a detailed finish.

No, this die-cast model is a collector's item and not intended as a toy. It contains small parts that could be a choking hazard and requires careful handling.

This particular model is a static display piece and does not typically feature opening doors or moving wheels, focusing instead on accurate external detailing.

London Transport red is the iconic color scheme used for buses operated by London Transport from the mid-20th century, immediately recognizable to many.

You can often find other models from the EFE Road series through specialist model railway shops, collector websites, and online marketplaces.

It is best stored in its original packaging or a suitable display case to protect it from dust, damage, and environmental factors.

Use a small amount of model glue (like PVA or a specialist plastic cement) to reattach the part. Ensure precise alignment before the glue sets. For delicate parts, a fine-tipped applicator is recommended.

For minor scuffs, try gently polishing with a soft cloth. For chips, touch-up paint matching the London Transport red can be used sparingly with a very fine brush. Professional model restoration services are available for more significant damage.

Check if the wheels are obstructed or bent. Gently adjust the wheels if possible. If the base is uneven, a small piece of thin material can be carefully glued to the underside to level it.
