Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best fit, place the rug carefully over the horse's back, ensuring the neck cover is centered before fastening the chest buckles. Adjust the fillet strap so the rug sits snugly against the quarters without pulling too tight. Compatibility with standard turnout rugs is good, but layering is generally not recommended as this is designed for temperate weather. To care for your rug, clean it regularly by brushing off dried mud and debris. Hand wash only in cold water using a mild, non-detergent soap to maintain the integrity of the DWR coating. Avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can strip the waterproof finish. Hang to air dry away from direct heat sources.
