FAQs

How many place settings are included in the 12-piece set?

The 12-piece set provides a complete dining foundation for 4 people.

Is this dinner set oven-safe?

The set is microwave-safe, but it is not intended for use in a traditional convection or conventional oven.

Does the white color fade over time?

No, high-quality porcelain is fired at high temperatures, ensuring the white finish remains vibrant through years of regular dishwasher use.

Can I expand this set later?

Yes, because the design is a classic minimalist style, you can easily supplement your collection with other Simpa Timeless pieces if they are available.

Is the porcelain prone to scratching?

While the glaze is durable, like all porcelain, it can be scratched by serrated knives or very abrasive materials. We recommend using standard flatware.

Troubleshooting

Stubborn food residue on the surface

Soak the piece in warm, soapy water for 15 minutes before using a soft sponge to gently remove the debris.

Water spots after dishwasher cycle

Use a rinse aid in your dishwasher to prevent mineral deposits from forming on the white porcelain surface.

Surface marks or grey streaks

These are often metal deposits from cutlery; a gentle porcelain cleaner or baking soda paste can effectively buff these away.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Timeless design fits any kitchen or dining style
  • High-quality porcelain provides a premium feel
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe for daily utility
  • Neutral white color allows for creative food plating

Cons

  • Simple design may be too plain for eclectic tastes
  • Fixed set size might require additional sets for larger households
  • Porcelain, while durable, is susceptible to chips if dropped on hard surfaces

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the Simpa Timeless dinner set is straightforward; the pieces are ready for use immediately upon unpacking, though it is recommended to wash them before the first meal.

Compatibility

  • Microwave: Fully compatible with standard household microwave ovens.
  • Dishwasher: Compatible with standard dishwasher detergents and cycle temperatures.

Care Instructions

To maintain the luster and longevity of your porcelain:

  1. Load the dishwasher carefully to prevent heavy items from knocking against the porcelain.
  2. Avoid using abrasive scouring pads that may cause surface micro-scratches.
  3. While durable, avoid rapid temperature changes (e.g., moving from a freezer directly to a hot oven) to prevent thermal shock.
  4. Ensure plates are dry before stacking to prevent potential water-spotting.
