Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free from any old finishes or contaminants. Sand the surface lightly to create a key for the varnish to adhere to. If previously varnished, remove the old varnish first.
- Application: Stir the varnish thoroughly before use. Apply thin, even coats using a brush or applicator. Avoid applying too much varnish at once to prevent runs or drips.
- Drying Time: Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next coat. Drying times may vary depending on environmental conditions (temperature and humidity).
Compatibility:
Polyvine Heavy Duty Wood Varnish is compatible with most interior wood surfaces.
Care:
Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Regular dusting and occasional cleaning with a mild soap solution will help maintain the finish. For more stubborn marks, use a non-abrasive cleaner.
