FAQs

What is the main benefit of the ERC Soft golf ball?

The ERC Soft aims to provide golfers with a balance of maximizing distance off the tee while offering a soft feel on all shots, particularly around the greens.

How does the Triple Track alignment system work?

The Triple Track system uses three distinct lines on the ball to help golfers align their putter face more accurately to the target line on the green.

Is this ball suitable for slow swing speeds?

Yes, the ball is designed to provide good ball speed even for moderate to slower swing speeds due to its core technology.

Does the urethane coating affect durability?

The Grip Urethane Coating is designed to enhance spin and feel. While durable for normal play, excessive abrasion can lead to wear, as with any golf ball cover.

Can I use the ERC Soft in wet conditions?

Yes, the ball is designed for play in various conditions. The cover provides good grip and feel even when slightly damp.

What is the difference between the ERC Soft and other Callaway balls?

The ERC Soft is specifically engineered for a blend of distance and soft feel, featuring a unique core and cover combination and the Triple Track alignment option, differentiating it from balls optimized purely for maximum distance or maximum spin.

Troubleshooting

Ball appears to lose distance

Ensure the ball is clean. Dirt or scuff marks can affect aerodynamics. Check for any significant damage to the cover.

Difficulty seeing the ball in flight

Consider using the brightly colored (e.g., yellow) or TRUVIS versions for enhanced visibility. Ensure adequate lighting conditions during play.

Alignment lines on Triple Track are confusing

Practice aligning putts using the lines on the practice green. Focus on keeping the lines parallel to your intended putt line. Consistent practice will help you adapt.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Provides a good combination of distance and soft feel.
Enhanced greenside spin and control.
Improved ball speed due to advanced core and mantle construction.
Increased visibility on the course.
Helpful alignment system for putting.

Cons

The Triple Track alignment may take some getting used to for players accustomed to traditional markings.
May offer less workability for advanced players who prefer to shape shots extensively.
Soft feel might not appeal to golfers seeking a very firm ball.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: No specific setup is required for golf balls. Simply choose the desired color (e.g., white or yellow) and alignment marking (standard or Triple Track).

Compatibility: This golf ball is designed for use with all legal golf clubs and is compliant with the Rules of Golf. It is suitable for golfers of all skill levels seeking a balance of distance and feel.

Care: To maintain the performance of your Callaway ERC Soft golf balls, store them away from extreme heat and direct sunlight. Clean the balls with a damp cloth or a soft brush to remove dirt and grass. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they can damage the cover and affect performance.
