FAQs
Can I use these for driving?
Yes, the enhanced palm grip provides good traction for steering, though you should ensure you feel comfortable with the tactile feedback of the material before using them while operating a vehicle.
Are these machine washable?
While hand washing is recommended to maintain the touchscreen functionality, a gentle cycle in a mesh laundry bag may be used; avoid high-heat tumble drying.
Do these gloves come in different sizes?
Yes, the Vinny Touch Screen Gloves are available in various sizes including XS/S and M/L to ensure a proper fit.
Will these keep my hands warm in deep snow?
These gloves are intended for moderate cold. For heavy snow or sub-zero temperatures, you may require a thicker, insulated, or waterproof glove.
Do both gloves have touchscreen capabilities?
Yes, both the left and right gloves feature conductive fingertips to allow for use with either hand.
Troubleshooting
Touchscreen not responding
Ensure your fingertip is making direct, firm contact with the screen. Clean the touch-capacitive patch if dirt or oil has accumulated.
Gloves feel damp inside
Polyester is breathable but not waterproof. If the gloves become soaked, allow them to air dry completely before the next use.
Grip feels slippery
Wipe the palm area with a damp cloth to remove any accumulated dust or grime that may be reducing the traction.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Retain full device functionality while keeping hands warm
- Improved grip texture for outdoor utility
- Convenient clips prevent loss of the pair
- Lightweight and breathable polyester material
- Clean, minimalist black design
Cons
- Polyester material may not be fully waterproof in heavy rain
- Best suited for mild to moderate winter conditions
- Limited to touch-capacitive screens only
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your gloves last through multiple seasons, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent to preserve the conductive fibers on the fingertips.
- Drying: Air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can degrade the synthetic polyester fibers.
- Compatibility: These gloves work with most capacitive touch screens found on modern smartphones, tablets, and ATMs. They will not function on resistive touchscreens or older specialized machinery.
