Setup
- Unpack and Assemble: Carefully remove all components from the packaging and consult the included manual for step-by-step assembly instructions.
- Connect to Amplifier: Use the included RCA cables to connect the turntable to your amplifier's phono input or line-level input if using the built-in pre-amp.
- Power On: Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet and the turntable.
- Balance the Tonearm: Carefully balance the tonearm and set the tracking force according to the cartridge manufacturer's recommendations (3 grams for the included AT-VM95E cartridge).
- Adjust Anti-Skate: Set the anti-skate control to match the tracking force.
Compatibility
The AT-LPW40WN is compatible with a wide range of audio systems. It can be connected to amplifiers with or without a dedicated phono input. Ensure your amplifier has either a phono input or a line-level input. The included RCA cables make it simple to connect the turntable to your receiver or amplifier. The AT-VM95E cartridge can be upgraded with other styluses from the VM95 series.
Care
- Dusting: Regularly dust the turntable and stylus using a soft brush.
- Cleaning Records: Clean your records with a record cleaning brush before each play to remove dust and debris.
- Stylus Maintenance: Inspect the stylus regularly and clean it gently with a stylus brush.
- Dust Cover: Keep the dust cover closed when the turntable is not in use to protect the stylus and platter from dust.
- Placement: Place the turntable on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
