Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Site Selection: Choose a location for your posts, ensuring it is free from underground utilities.
- Depth: For maximum stability, bury at least one-third of the post's length into the ground. For 1.65m posts, this means burying approximately 0.55 meters.
- Installation: Dig holes appropriate for the post diameter. Place the post in the hole and backfill with soil, compacting firmly around the base. For critical applications or soft ground, consider using concrete for added stability.
- Spacing: Adjust post spacing based on the intended use; closer spacing for high-pressure applications like livestock fencing, wider for light garden fencing.
Compatibility:
These posts are compatible with most standard fencing materials, including wire mesh, electric fence insulators, and ties.
Care:
While pressure-treated for durability, occasional maintenance can extend their lifespan. Keep the base of the posts clear of excessive debris and ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging. Inspect annually for any signs of wear or damage and address promptly.
