While the dimensions may match, silver-oxide batteries like the V377 offer better voltage stability for watches. Check your device manual for compatibility.
No, the Varta V377 is a single-use primary battery and attempting to recharge it can cause leaking or rupture.
Life expectancy depends on the device's power consumption; however, in standard analog watches, these batteries are designed for long-term use.
It means the battery is optimized for devices that draw a small, consistent amount of power over a long period, such as a watch.
While highly reliable, all batteries can leak if left in a device for years after they are dead. Remove the battery if the device will be stored for a long time.
Verify that the battery is seated firmly in the cradle and that the battery contacts are clean of oxidation or debris.
Check the markings on the old battery. The V377 is interchangeable with the industry standard designations SR626 and SR66.
Ensure the battery was inserted with the correct polarity. Using a multimeter, check if the battery holds a charge of at least 1.5V.
To ensure optimal battery life, handle the Varta V377 by the edges using non-conductive plastic tweezers to prevent skin oils from interfering with contact points. Before installation, confirm that your device specifically requires an SR626, SR66, or V377 battery type. Ensure the polarity is correct by matching the positive (+) side of the battery with the indicated marking in the device's battery compartment. Store unused batteries in a cool, dry place and avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, which can reduce their capacity. Always dispose of used button cells according to local environmental regulations for hazardous household waste.
