FAQs
Is this mat suitable for very heavy rain?
While the coir is water-resistant, the PVC backing is best protected from prolonged direct rain. It's recommended for use in sheltered doorways or porches.
Can I machine wash this doormat?
No, machine washing is not recommended as it can damage the coir fibres and the PVC backing.
What are the exact dimensions of the doormat?
The doormat is approximately 60cm by 40cm.
Is the 'Home Sweet Home' text embroidered or printed?
The text is typically printed onto the mat surface.
How does the non-slip PVC base work?
The PVC backing provides friction against the floor surface, preventing the mat from sliding around during use.
Is this an officially licensed Newcastle United FC product?
Yes, this is an official licensed merchandise item, featuring the club's crest.
What is coconut fibre (coir) best for?
Coconut fibre is excellent for scraping dirt and mud off shoes due to its coarse texture and natural durability.
Troubleshooting
Mat is not lying flat
Place the mat in direct sunlight for a few hours or roll it in the opposite direction to flatten it out. Ensure the surface beneath is even.
Excessive shedding of fibres
This is normal for coir mats, especially when new. Shake the mat outdoors regularly. Shedding should decrease over time with normal use.
Surface dirt is difficult to remove
Use a stiff brush to dislodge caked-on dirt. If necessary, use a damp cloth with mild soap, then rinse and air dry thoroughly.
Mat appears faded
Prolonged exposure to direct, harsh sunlight can cause fading. Consider placing the mat in a partially shaded area or bringing it in during extreme weather.

Compatibility: This doormat is designed for outdoor or sheltered entryway use. It is compatible with most standard door sizes and types. Ensure the area where it is placed is flat.
